By accessing or using the StudyPal platform (including our mobile application, websites, and associated AI tutoring services), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Description of Service & Account Use

StudyPal is a RAG-based AI educational assistant allowing users to upload study documents (PDF, TXT) to generate customized lesson outlines, interactive roadmaps, and practice flashcards/exams.

  • You must supply a valid email address to complete registration.
  • You are entirely responsible for the security and confidentiality of your credentials.
  • Accounts are individual and cannot be leased, sold, or shared with third parties.

2. Intellectual Property & Uploaded Files

All intellectual property rights of documents, textbooks, and notes uploaded to StudyPal remain yours. StudyPal claims no ownership over your private files. You grant us a temporary, secure license to host, read, and analyze your documents solely to generate study prompts and content for your account.

  • You must not upload copyrighted textbooks, answer sheets, or unauthorized content that violates academic integrity codes.
  • StudyPal reserves the right to suspend accounts committing repeated copyright infringement.

3. Acceptable Use Guidelines

To preserve application integrity and quality of service, the following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Launching DDoS attacks, scraping materials, or executing automated scripts on app APIs.
  • Abusing subscription allowances or bypassing rate limits.
  • Uploading files containing malicious code, worms, or trojans.

4. Membership Tiers, Billing & Refunds

StudyPal offers both free tiers and Premium subscription tiers. All financial billing is managed and processed securely via Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled, and refund requests are subject to the policies of the respective app stores.

5. Limitations of Liability

StudyPal outputs are generated dynamically by artificial intelligence. While optimized for accuracy based strictly on your source file, outputs are not guaranteed to be 100% correct. StudyPal is not responsible for academic test scores, final marks, or course outcomes.
